Baby-led weaning: 10 great finger foods
- Well-cooked vegetable sticks. Try carrots, zucchinis, sweet potatoes.
- Interesting shapes and textures: broccoli florets, cauliflower, baby sweetcorn.
- Chunks of soft fruit: banana, ripe pear, kiwi, melon.
- Chunky strips of poached chicken or mini meatballs.
- Breadsticks, pita fingers, toasted soldiers – all great snacks.
- Pasta: fusilli or penne are easiest to grab.
- Rice rolled into balls (makes it easier to eat).
- Cucumber served from the fridge (if your baby is teething).
- Sticks of cheese.
- Dry cereal (great for pincer practice).
